Pinghu oil Field has gone into extremely high water-containing developingperiod with strong heterogeneity, complicated oil-water relationship and the formationand distribution of remaining oil is still unclear. Comprehensive utilized the data ofcore, logging and production performance to analyzed the reservoir distribution andits features, controlling factor and the influence of the formation and distribution ofremaining oil, so it is the essential significant to the remaining oil forecasting of themiddle and later production stage.From the actual situation of reservoir, referring to core, logging and geologicaldata, confirm the mark of stratigraphic correlation. According to the lithology andlogging response, the marker bed can divided into two types for geologic stratificationof horizontal well. With the knowledge of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy,taking many factors into account, such as isochronous slice, degradation of stream,sand bodies stacking and lateral alternation of micro-facies, an accurate sequenceframe was established. Then Reservoir heterogeneity can be analyzed by regionaldeposition backgrounds, rock type of the core and the relationship of seismic attributeand reservoir, also using many methods such as the reservoir architecture technology,comprehensive evaluation of reservoir, reservoir heterogeneous synthetic indexmethod, reservoir fractals, Reservoir rhythmicity and interlayers. By using that, revealthe problems of oilfield development and production and understand the possibleimpact of reservoir heterogeneous for remaining oil. Eventually by using the dynamicdata analysis, well testing data and other research results to establish the3D model toanalyzed the controlling factors of the formation and distribution of remaining oil.Analysis showed that, Reservoir microstructure, degree of reservoirdevelopment, and reservoir heterogeneous is the controlling factor for the degree ofpetroleum accumulation and well productivity, also the main reason for the verycomplex distribution of remaining oil and how oil and water flow. The reservoirdevelopment and reservoir geometrical form of reservoir architecture and reservoirfractals is the main controlling factor for the formation and distribution of remainingoil. By applying the streamline simulation technique, it can point out favorable area ofthe remaining oil through the rapidly and intuitively understand the direction androute of the water also better understand the frontal displacement of saturationvariation. By using the J function to establish the saturation field, it can improve theaccuracy of oil saturation model.
