In this paper, on the basis of predecessors’ research results, combined with welllogging, mud logging, water chemical analysis, test and gas production data, takesedimentology, petroleum geology, oil field chemical, reservoir geology andexploitation geology such as discipline theory as the instruction, the integrated use ofreservoir evaluation technique, logging analysis technology and other modernreservoir description techniques and methods, combining with the ordos basin ancientgas reservoir present development situation, studied comprehensively the physicalproperty of sand body and plane, profile distribution law, formation water chemicalcharacteristics, gas layer recognition, gas-water distribution laws and its controllingfactors, in order to ensure the efficient development of gas field, by studying therecognition and achieved the following results:(1) Through fine stratigraphic classification we do for the southern district ofSulige Gas field in He8,Shan1and2,He8segments can be divided into four smalllayers, and both of Shan1and2three, the layer of all Wells in the study area isunified.(2) On the basis of the comprehensive interpretation of logging, injection andreturn rate, formation water chemical analysis data and the test gas production, thewater produced in the gas well of southern district of Sulige Gas field are divided intofour categories: condensation water, formation water, formation water desalinationand normal residual liquid; Southern district of Sulige Gas field in formation waterlevels of the relation between main ions, conforms to our country the majority ofstatistical situation of continental oil field water, formation water cationic+potassiumsodium ions (Na++K+) and calcium (Ca2+) ions, most magnesium ions (magnesium2+) at least, it is worth noting that the sodium ion+potassium (Na++K+) and calciumions (Ca2+) ion concentration difference; Anion chloride (Cl-) has the absoluteadvantage. Gas reservoir with good sealing ability, so it is very beneficial to thepreservation of natural gas.(3)He8has good sand body development, sand body drill encounter rate is morethan60%, and the plane distribution of sand body is very wide, He8and Shan1section is also the key strata in the study area. (4) Sand body in He8is the best development in period of the objective interval, followed by the Shan1and2, so the gas and water layer are mainly distributed in He8,and along the direction of river channel (source) gas water continuity is better;Vertical channel (source) direction is poor gas water continuity. Directionperpendicular to the source of gas water is much interlayer insulation divided intoisolated gas water reservoir. Gas and water layer due to gravity, in a single sand bodynaturally present water next, gas in the form, there is no water is natural gas into highpositions, gas water inversion phenomenon does not appear. As there is no unifiedhorizontal change quickly, sand body gas water interface.(5) A variety of methods study was used to study the atmosphere, water layer, drylayer and the logging response characteristics of gas layer, the formation waterapparent formation water resistivity method, porosity method and acoustic timedifference-deep lateral resistivity intersection method can identify the gas and waterlayer, the above method is recommended for the identification of the southern districtin He8-Shan2fluid. Southern district in Wells of shale content is higher, betterproperties, mud invasion, leading to the existence of the low resistance reservoir.(6) Study area exists partial edge-bottom water, river water density lens andisolated lens water three types of water bodies. He8and Shan1‘s water developwell,Shan2’s water hardly develop. Gas water on lateral continuity, banded sand bodyexists on the vertical bar.
