Wenzhangzi gold deposit of Western Liaoning is located in the northern marginof North China plate, which is superimposed by Mesozoic tectono-magmatic belt. Theresearch concluded that the geological features, ore-forming factors and metallogenicsystem of lode-type gold deposit in the structural fractured zone. This provides areference to the prospecting prediction in similar areas.By summarizing the geological features of ore deposit and regional ore-formingbackground, further defined the geological environment and ore deposit properties ofthe Wenzhangzi gold deposit. Wenzhangzi gold deposit, located in the Mesozoicsouthern margin of JianChang basin, eastern segment of the North China plate, whichis mainly controlled by the E-W compress-shear fault fracture zone and belong to thelode-type metamorphic gold deposit. The host rock of deposit are Mesozoic andesiticvolcanic-sedimentary and granodiorite gold-bearing formation.The ore-body are controlled by the E-W fault fracture zone, extending along theinclination and strike, discontinuous mineralization, small scale single ore andobvious thin out reoccur. In the horizontal direction, the mineralization intensitystrengthen from the east to the west, the mineralization elements mainly occur fromgold and silver to gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc coexist. In the vertical direction, theexploration results and previous exploration area show that there are twomineralization enrichment zones, the upper part appear at800m and550~700melevation, respectively. The ore have a good quality and easily beneficiated.The main controlling factors of the Wenzhangzi gold deposit mineralization isMesozoic gold-bearing formation, early Yanshanian period magmatite and ductile-brittle fault. Field observations and dating results show that the mineralization mainlyformed in Yanshanian period.On the basis of the above study, we propose that the methallogenic systematicmodel of Wenzhangzi gold deposit is the Mesozoic magmatic rocks gold-bearingformation-thermal fluid metasomatism ore-forming materials gathered-tectoniclocation. Based on the above, the ductile-brittle fault developed belt is critical areas for prospecting and mineralized type is mainly altered rock type.
