The study area is located in BaoShan—LongLing area, in the Yunnan-Guizhouplateau and in and the southwestern of Yunnan province, this district in tectonic unitsis between Gondwana and Lao Ya continental teti-Himalayan tectonic zone(domain).The central region is western margin of Yangtze Block—arc basin system ofmélange belt, Lanping—Simao foreland basin is adjacent to the east, west region isthe estern Baoshan Basin.Across the Sanjiang region, SW China (Nujiang, Lancangand Jinsha River) structures in the eastern margin of the Baoshan block, LancangRiver orogenic belt, Western margin of lanping-Simao basin,gangdise-nianqingtanggula ore belt in Fugong-zhenkang metallogenic belt andchangning-Lancang metallogenic belt. It is Excellent prospecting. First of all, thepaper established the remote sensing exploration model,and with the use of remotesensing technology to extract the metallogenic information. Then, extracted themetallogenic information of the district which based on the experience, in the end,achieved the prospecting of the district.Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer ETM andSPOT bands are used in identification of alteration zones which have developedduring hydrothermal activity.This paper has summarized the available methods ofMulti—spectral data analysis and extracted alteration information.SPOT image wereused to extract the information of tectonic. Within the use of Geographic InformationSystem, Comprehensive analysis the mineral exploration information and advancedthe prospecting perspective. Main conclusions of this paper as follow:(1) SPOT432as the bands combination of synthetic image, which was used asbase map for visual interpretation to extract linear and ring-like structureinformation, based on to establish remote sensing marker in the study area. TheInterpretation of tectonic dominated by the NW and NE trending, which followed bySN trending.(2) According to the existing exploration data, determine the main mineralizationalteration types in the study area, for alteration information extraction. The results ofalteration extraction was showed that, Alteration and structure and anomaly with agood set of known, has very good instruction effect to the ore body, as a remote sensing prospecting model.(3)Based on GIS platform, this article quantified the information of alterationand structure, which was extracted by means of remote sensing, and then through theGIS spatial overlay analysis,10anomalies were delineated as the potential targets.
