Frequent natural disasters have caused damage to people’s property, especially the flood disaster, the flood prevention and control is imminent. It is particularly important to predict the evolution of the flood in advance, and quickly take effective measures after the flooding. The core part of flood evolution is the numerical visualization simulation, at present, the available and commercial softwares on the market basically simulate one-dimensional or two-dimensional flood, playing an important role in the field of2D visualization and the use range of commercial software is relatively narrow and the extensibility of software is relatively weak, demanding of computer hardware, simulation precision has yet to be further improved, in the field of3D visualization. To solve these problems, the simulation of the three-dimension hydraulics model is built based on the two-dimensional shallow water equation, using programming language C++and OpenGL, and mapping technology, combined with database technology, under the environment of VC++software. At first, In order to verify the validity of the model, three-dimensional virtual scene of flood is built, and numerical modeling of flood was routing based on Zhalong wetland terrain elevation data; the second, flow field is simulated on the basis of flood simulation, to observe the flood routing in the process; the third, the cross section of the flood are analyzed in order to understand the flood of information. On this basis, this paper tries to increase simulation of snow, fog, rain and other natural phenomena in3D visualization scene. The establishment of Flood3D visualization system, combined with the hydraulic model and texture mapping technology, with the support of computer software and hardware technology, can provide the technical support for flood simulation, and has practical significance to the flood control decision-making and flood resources utilization.
