Benxi area is rich in iron ore resources, but after years of mining, the surface and shallowresources gradually reduce. The research of deep geological structure in Benxi region, andfinding the concealed iron formation and deep iron ore are becoming urgent. The paper is onthe basis of the data of area geology and physical geology to carry out the research work of3D inversion of magnetic susceptibility,3D geological modeling and3D modeling of iron orecombined with drilling data. What’s more, the paper constructs a three-dimensionalgeometrical morphology model of Dataigou and Sishanling iron mine through3D inversion ofmagnetic susceptibility to show the geometrical morphology of Dataigou and Sishanling ironmine. The3D geometrical morphology of Sishanling iron mine is in bending shape. Themaximum depth of the ore body bottom is1560meters, and the overall trend is northwest,and there is an extension of magnetic body in northwest direction. The3D geometry shape ofDataigou iron ore magnetic body is a bowling ball, the general trend is northwest,dips to thesouthwest, almost upright, along strike approximately5kilometers long. The central part ofmagnetic body is uplifted, tend to northwest and southwest, range of width for600-1200m.The top boundary of the buried depth of magnetic body, whose width is more than1100m, is1200meters to2900meters. The bottom boundary of the buried depth is about4400meters. The strike, dip and width of the magnetic body are consistent with the drillingdata.Fold and ductile shear are two main factors for controlling the3D geometry of the ironmine. The iron ore of Sishanling shaped ingot-like. Its shape is mainly controlled by fold structure. The3D geometry shape of Dataigou iron is board-like. Its form is speculated that ismainly controlled by the ductile shear action. Uplift, denudation and magma intrusion candamage and transform the3D geometry of iron ore.
