The complex systems engineering always equips with the multi-component series system with cold standby. For studying the reliability analysis of the multi-component series system with cold standby has a certain theoretical and practical significance. It has particularity and complexity. So to increase the system multi-components, we need result in difficulty solving by using reliability analysis.This paper studies the reliability analysis of the multi-component series system with cold standby, when the change over switch on completely reliable and after modeling with a series system will reasonable assumptions.Firstly, we obtain into two component, three component and then n-component series system. For reliability analysis used expressions of series repairable system with cold standby. However previous researches basically are aimed of this paper,we further discusses the reliability analysis of series system cold standby with n component and 2n+1 component.Secondly, when the change over switch is completely reliable. Then, we calculate the system according to reliability analysis expression using by Markov system theory with certain assumptions, and gives the case study examples of n = 2.Finally, we discuss the relationship between two component and single component series system, and then conclude that the two component series system so can equivalent to a simple system, and further equivalent to single unit repairable system, which provide a basis for calculating the reliability analysis of multi-component series system with cold standby, thus avoiding the complexity of calculations.
