The 3D seabed terrain aided navigation technology is widely applied in the navigation field, especially in the changeable complex ocean environment. The operation of this technology has intuitive expression and good visual experience, strong interactivity, and a large amount of information. Therefore there is a very important value that establishing a wide range of real three-dimensional terrain model. In this paper, it reconstructs a real ocean terrain model based on the basis of bathymetric data which is extracted from the real 2D ECDIS, a more realistic terrain is established by using the visual simulation software(MultiGen Creator). Finally get a virtual marine environment visual simulation and aircraft units roaming by using Vega Prime. The main research contents and achievements are summarized as follows:Firstly, in this paper, the extraction and processing of deep sea data is described and analyzed, due to the defects of depth data itself, which is extracted from 2D ECDIS, the 2D and 3D interpolation algorithms which is based on IFS is introduced, compare it with other algorithms. And finally get the DEM model which we need.Secondly, design the technical route about the deep sea data file conversion into the seabed terrain file. In the first place, the curved surface file, obtained by interpolation algorithm, should be converted into.ded format which Creator can use, then get the 3D terrain file by using the triangle grid method in the Creator, finally get the real ocean terrain by using the texture and rendering technology, and draw the craft model in the Creator.Furthermore, in this paper, the application of genetic algorithm in path planning is described, the influence of some typical factors on path planning is emphatically analyzed, including evaluation function, insertion operator, and punishment factor, then the path optimization algorithm was designed, which can be applied to different terrain. The experiment show that, in the view of characteristics of different terrain, the algorithm can get the optimal path, the introduction of punishment function and heuristic knowledge make the algorithm more flexible.Finally, after analyzing the design process of the simulation program and the key implementation technology, the improvement for roaming way of simulation program is proposed, and the availability of established 3D terrain and rationality of the terrain database is verified, in the same time, take advantage of Vega Prime2.01 and VS2003 software, realizing the visualization of three-dimensional ocean environment and underwater obstacle avoidance roaming function of aircraft.
