With the exhaustion of fossil fuel, the development of renewable energy was born as a result. The main parts of marine energy, such as offshore wind energy, tidal energy, current energy, wave energy, thermal energy and osmotic energy get considerable attention and research. Wave energy is becoming a hot point, most probably due to the fact that it’s widespread, high in energy density, clean and renewable. China has plenty of ocean area. Thus, it’s promising to make use of it.Now the combination of oscillating buoys and hydraulic system is a focus of study. Its shape, size, damping, power output as well as fixing system have all been studied detailed. However, few people put an eye on the array layout.This thesis study the layout of the buoys in given condition, explores the relationship between the wave and the the buoys’efficiency, determine the best array layout plan, guarantee good startup performance.Now the device by OUC base on buoys of cylinder shape with a cone bottom. Besides, domestic experts also study buoys of other shapes, such as cylinder ones, sphere ones, cylinder ones with sphere bottom. To make the study more common, as well as to make the work easier, we chose the cylinder ones as the fundamental shape.The main missions are listed bellow:1) Determine the characters of the buoys and condition in which the buoys work. The characters of the buoys include the diameter, the density and the height of the buoys. The conditions of the buoys include the depth of the water, the height and the period of the incident wave.2) Find out the relationship between the power output and the damping force with numerical simulaiton. And give the best damping figures.3) Study the layout of the wave energy around the buoys unit. Then determine the best array layout plan and the distance of it.By the method of Numerical Simulation, determine that it is appropriate to place the buoys in rows and columns perpendicular to each other. And determine the preferred distance of the buoys under the project condition according to the energy concentration phenomenon. Also give the estimation method of distance under other condition, which can provide the initializing data for deep research by physical or numerical models.
