As a typical geological disasters in loess area, landslides are widely distributed and cause serious threat to human activities, especially long-runout landslides. In the movement of pushing terrace in the process, landslide often form the unique internal structure. Previous research put emphasis on deformation and fracture of loess landslide, and this paper analyzes river terraces when the loess landslide is moving, with physical model test and numerical simulation method to analyze the process.First, take the south bank of Jinghe River as the study area, through abundant field investigation and exploration, such as field work and laboratory data, observation and experiment of loess landslide, get a certain understanding about formation of the loess landslide on conditions, factors and dynamic rules. The geological background and the morphology of typical loess landslides are summarized, and the development law of loess landslides is analyzed, and a conceptual model for the further physical and numerical simulation is established..Through the physical model experiment,establish a similar terrace modeland analysis under different conditions, get deformation and failure processes of terrace formation, deformed and divided in failure stage, and analyze the influence of various factors.The motion of the granular media and its interaction are modeled by a circular(or shaped) discrete element. By plane translational and rotational motion equation to determine every moment of the particle position and velocity. Through the particle flow numerical simulation method, simulate the process of deformation and failure of terrace which is pushed in the process of Loess landslide movement. Use particle flow software to establish large size terrace model, calibration micro parameters of particles, so the model and the research area terrace material have the same deformation and failure characteristics. By setting the parameters of the model, research the influence on deformation and failure of the shear surface and depth of liquefaction degree.Through the above analysis, draw the loess landslide movement process in the process of pushing terrace to form the internal structure; analysis the impact of the main factors influencing the process; and quantitative analysis of forming conditions of the formation of the unique internal structure.
