High-pressure abrasive water jet technology is a new technology of rapid development in recent years, it belongs to a kind of cold cutting technology and will not produce thermal deformation and thermal strain in the process of processing, so its application is becoming more common. Jet nozzle is one of the most important parts in machine tools, the structure parameters and quality directly affect the machining quality,machining efficiency and so on, therefore, the study of the internal geometry is of theoretical significance and practical application value, and is very necessary.Based on the internal shape of the high-pressure abrasive water jet nozzle as the research object, the process of pure water jet abrasive and air mixing has carried on the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the simulation research was conducted on the different structural parameters of the nozzle.First of all, based on the existing theoretical foundation and experiment study, to establish the physical model of abrasive water jet simulation, based on the physical model and determine the initial conditions and boundary conditions. Second, to establish the finite element model of high pressure abrasive water jet nozzle system, do numerical simulation of the mixing chamber and the inside of the abrasive nozzle flow field, and through post-processing, obtain the motion law of the flow field in the mixing chamber.Finally, simulate more improve position and angles of the pipe relative to the mixing chamber, and the shape of the abrasive entrance, regard hybrid jet divergence of the abrasive particles as well as the hybrid jet core length as evaluation index to analyze the simulation results and the influence of structural parameters on water jet nozzle system.
