In this paper, to study the morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristic of seed germination under drought stress among four mung bean varieties, yulü 1,tianshan daminglü, jilü 12, and lüzhenzhu 2, it was taken 4 concentration of PEG-6000(5%、10%、15%、20%) for simulating drought environment. The drought resistance of four mung bean varieties were tentatively identified. On this basis, further study was performed on the efect of drought stress released of julü 12 by Na2 Se O3 treatments(3,5,10,15 and 20mg/L) under 15% PEG-6000 drought stress. This study provides the theoretical basis for the production technology of mung bean. The main results are as follows:(1)Results of the morphological(seed germination rate、the growth of radicles and germs), physiological and biochemical(the activity of SOD、CAT、POD and MDA、free proline content)characteristic of four mung bean varieties under drought stress indicated that the drought resistance ranked as : yulü 1>tianshandaminglü >lüzhenzhu 2>jilü 12.(2)The research results of the effect of drought resistance of jilü 12 seeds through Na2 Se O3 treatments(3,5,10,15 and 20mg/L)under 15% PEG-6000 drought stress indicated that Na2 Se O3 treatments(3,5, and 10mg/L) could significantly improve seed germination rate, free proline content and activity of SOD, CAT and POD. Meanwhile, the growth of radicles and germs was hastened and MDA content was reduced. Na2 Se O3 treatments(5mg/L) had the greatest influence and the best results. So preliminary results showed that soaking in Na2 Se O3 treatments(5mg/L)had greater drought resistance.(3)In 4 to 5 leaf stage seedling of mung bean cultivated in pot, we detected the effect of drought resistance of jilü 12 seedling through Na2 Se O3 treatments(3,5,10,15 and 20mg/L)under 15% PEG-6000 drought stress. The results showed that Na2 Se O3 treatments(3,5,10,and15mg/L) could significantly improve chlorophyll content, free proline content and activity of SOD, CAT and POD. Meanwhile, the growth of stem height and taproot was hastened and MDA content was reduced.Na2 Se O3 treatments(3,5,and 10mg/L) could significantly improve root vitality of mung bean seedling. Na2 Se O3 treatments(10mg/L) had the greatest influence and the best results. So preliminary results showed that spraying Na2 Se O3 treatments(10mg/L) was helpful for greater drought resistance in the period of the Seedlings.
