| State Council approved Outline of Rocky Desertification Comprehensive Control in Karst Area(2006-2015) formulated by National Development and Reform Commission and other 5 ministries, which tells that, supported by special projects and capital, trial projects of rocky desertification comprehensive control would be held in 100 pilot counties of Guizhou, Guangxi, Yunnan, Chongqing and other 4 provinces and regions during “Eleventh Five-year Planâ€; rocky desertification comprehensive control would be carried out overall in 451 counties during “Twelfth Five-year Planâ€. Acording to the demands for standard study on of rocky desertification control technology from “Twelfth Five-year Plan†National Key Project--- “Technology and Demonstration of Southwest Ecological Security Barrierâ€. The contents and extension of standard and standardization is changing with the development of social history and the improvement of human’s cognition. In GB/1.1-2000, standard is defined that serving as or conforming to an established or accepted measurement or value in order to obtain better order(Bai Dianyi, 2001). The history of human’s industrial development indicates that the industry must be supported by corresponding standardization(Huang Jiang, 2004). According to the related principles and the theories of ecology, database basis and map, based on the rocky desertification control, the current situation, introduction, and the existent problems of the standard of database and mapping are summarized. Finally, it’s concluded that:(1) So far, there is no research on standard of spatial database about rocky desertification control. Most scholars have studied much on database and spatial database, but little related to rocky desertification control; GIS technology has been widely used in the rocky desertification comprehensive management work, but mainly concentrated in the database construction, the research of database standards is almost zero. The establishment of database standard about rocky desertification control is the basis of the construction and operation of rocky desertification control system and the basic guarantee of realize shared information. Therefore, as for the construction of database standard about rocky desertification control, the basic contents, taxonomic hierarchies, positioning basis, information encoding, data organization form, the data file naming rules, the design of data structure and quality of database are studied in this paper. Are selected and demonstrated. Supported by 3S, the database standard is innovated adhering to the scientific, convenient, practical, systematic, unique, extensible principles. Referring to the present national, industrial, local standards, as well as the related regulations on database, the spatial database standard for rocky desertification control is innovated.(2) There is little special mapping standard about ecological conservation projects, technology standard is almost blank. Thematic mapping standard research has become a research focus in the multiple disciplines. but still lacks systematic summaries; it’s not been stressed for a long time insouthwest karst rocky desertification areas and started late, some local theory study is blank. Karst rocky desertification comprehensive treatment of thematic mapping standard is the specification of rocky desertification comprehensive treatment project of thematic map production process and it is basic guarantee to promote the efficiency of the project. So, this study discusses about karst rocky desertification of thematic map drawing method, content and purpose, of karst rocky desertification of comprehensive governance thematic maps of the thematic map maps elements of the data types, data sources and data acquisition, data classification and grading, thematic map compilation and other aspects. Supported by the professional graphics software, in line with the principle of thematic cartography standard simple and expressive, vivid and beautiful of inheritance and innovation, with reference to the existing national, industry and local standards in terms of ecological management and environmental protection regulations, created with karst rocky desertification comprehensive management characteristics of thematic cartography standards.(3) This study analysis some key problems such as the database, the database quality and regional particularity produced in the process about the spatial database building of rocky desertificationthe comprehensive treatment,puts forward the rocky desertification comprehensive treatment method for building a spatial database, determines the content and scope of the spatial database.By governing the desertification demonstration area like Bijie Karst plateau mountain-potential salaxi mild desertification demonstration area, Guanling-Zhenfeng Huajiang Karst plateau Valley moderate intensity rocky desertification demonstration area, basing on the omprehensive treatment of rocky desertification spatial database standards,this study established a comprehensive control of rocky desertification spatial database.The spatial database practice proved that the rocky desertification comprehensive treatment method for building a spatial database can meet the rocky desertification spatial database need and improve the quality and efficiency of creating database is feasible.(4) By collecting and analysising the existing map about comprehensive control of rocky desertification,combining with rocky desertification thematic map drawing experience, basing on the two basic layers of basic geographic elements and thematic information elements,According to the mapping principle of special map,Basing on the corresponding provincial standard and the provisions of the national standard in terms of thematic mapping and according to the comprehensive treatment of rocky desertification thematic attribute in Karst area,formulating thematic maps,s standards and principles about the comprehensive control of rocky desertification.According to the standards, compiled 10 atlas about Bijie salaxi demonstration zone and Guanling- Zhenfeng Huajiang demonstration area and obtained the predictive effect,meet the requirements of thematic mapping in rocky desertification area. |
