The Triassic coalfield of shaanxi is located in the north of Shaanxi province, in central Ordos basin, and only Triassic coalfield for the basin. The thickness of coal seam is thin, but the coal quality is fine, coal type is gas coal, for the scarce types, suitable for coking coal blending. Based on analyzing and summarizing the distribution characteristics of Triassic Wayaobao Formation and the occurrence regularity of coal seam in northern Shaanxi province, and researching the Coal depositional environment, and researching coal accumulation,those can provide geological theory basis for coal resources exploration and development in the future.The main research work is fully collecting and sorting the previous geological prospecting and mining data, and all kinds of geology, on the basis of research results, through the comparative study on the coal-bearing strata and coal seam, understanding the distribution and lithology characteristics and coal bearing situation and occurrence regularity of coal seam, and distribution and the thickness change law of The main minable seam. Through statistical researching in each data point of lithology characteristics and the sand-shale ratio of Triassic WaYaoBao Formation, using rock than triangular diagram method to divide rock groups and sedimentary facies zones, to analyze the sedimentary environments and lithofacies palaeogeographic characteristics, to summarize coal accumulation, discuss the main coal-bearing models.Through the study, the main conclusion and understanding are as follows:(1)Understand the boundaries of the northern shaanxi Triassic coalfield.(2) Mastered the distribution and lithology characteristics and the coal bearing situationand and the distribution law of the minable seam.(3) Analyzed the sedimentary environments and the lithofacies palaeogeographic characteristics, summarizes and discusses the coal accumulation and the main coal-bearing models.
