This paper aims at the additional exploration of the small and medium-sized mine to promote the resources replacing with ordered arrangement by concordancing the existing mining rights, which is based on the policy of national collection system and privately owned mine development. Based on the application and studying to the deep exploration of Anshan-type iron mine, it has the magnetic exploration to Sunibulang iron mine which belongs to the blind area, with future processing, it processes the data in the qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative calculation processing, inference and interpretation. In this paper, it summarizes the regularity of ore formation and gives the definition to the prospecting target which provides the valuable reference to the same kind of mineral resources. With the field work and comprehensive studying, this paper gets the following understanding and progress:(1) It summarizes the regularity and prospecting criteria to the Anshan-type iron mine in the area of Sunibulang. The amphibolite plagioclase exists in the type of surrounding rock which can be symbolized as the backhand prospecting. The comparison in magnetic parameters between the Magnetic anomaly and plagioclase amphibolite can provide the interesting reference to the hidden geological body, The genetic type of Sunibulang iron mine belongs to sedimentary metamorphic iron ore deposit ore, whose ore body are influenced by late metamorphism, and it’s easy to form enrichment in local area, so that the strength of the metamorphic grade also can be the indirect ore-prospecting criteria. In conclusion, the magnetic anomaly becomes an important symbol of the region’s iron ore prospecting.(2)It takes the 1:10 000 ground magnetic prospecting work in Sunibulang area with 9.38 km2, and the magnetic anomaly gets a wide variety of data processing, among them, the upward continuation suppresses the interference effectively and highlights the deep basal form, future more, it combines with vertical first-derivative analytical signal analysis, wavelet analysis, comprehensive analysis of the processing results, which provides a basis for prospecting target area. This paper gives three prospecting magnetic anomaly zones, include MD1, MD2 and MD3, with the combination of the geological data, it determines the MD2 target area as the prospecting target in this mine area.(3) Because the past geological, geophysical and geochemical work of the prospecting area is almost in a blank, in order to get further validation, it sets two parallel IP ladder exploration lines with 200 m distance through MD2. Respectively having the forward modeling of the two profile fitting, it obtains the spatial distribution of ore body. Lately it has been verified by drilling results that four parallel output of blind ore bodies are found, they all attribute to the occurrence of plagioclase amphibolite, in lenticular output, direction of strata are north west, about 320 ° or so, direction of tilt to southwest direction, dip Angle of 80 °.(4) The processing to magnetic anomaly is an indispensable important part of the abnormal inference and interpretation, both highlight useful anomaly information, and can facilitate the inference and interpretation, it should aims for solving the actual geological problem, and choose the suitable data processing method.(5) The application of specimens, borehole core petrophysical measurements and forward fitting is important to recognize the false mine and the ore anomalies, ore body shape, depth and distribution is particularly important. In the process of drilling, it needs continued revision to the response model which is significant to the drilling process and further explore resources reserves.
