China is rich in coal resources, the world’s largest coal production and consumption country. For a long period of time, the leading position of coal in our country’s energy consumption constitutes will not have a fundamental change. With the development of economy and the progress of science and technology, our demands for coal are growing and the environment problem is becoming increasingly serious at the same time. In order to make full use of coal resources and protect the environment, in recent years, many scholars at home and abroad have a further study of metallogenic and use of associated elements in coal. Researching the content and the distribution characteristics of associated elements in coal, not only can provide geochemical basis for the study of the formation of coal seam, but also for the comprehensive exploitation and utilization of coal resources. In this paper, guided by the geochemistry, coal petrology, mineralogy and sedimentology theory, using the polarizing microscope, LTA+XRD, XRF, ICP-MS and SEM+EDS instrument, has a test analysis of the study area of coal. We have a study of the coal of the Keluke, such as: quality characteristics, mineral characteristics of coal, coal rock characteristics, the characteristics of trace element content and distribution characteristics, and on the basis of state of occurrence of associated elements in coal, scattered enrichment degree and the coal seam coal environment problems are discussed. The results show that:(1) The coal of the Keluke with low ash, high volatile, low-sulfur coal.Sample vitrinite reflectance between 1.06% to 1.62%, average 1.21%, belong to the coking coal.Minerals in coal are mainly clay mineral, calcite, quartz and pyrite, gypsum, etc.(2) Through the study of the associated elements in coal, crook group of coal seams in the study area crook group of coal seams is in the land and sea deposit, but mainly is Marine deposits; Ancient climate is dry climate, sedimentary water medium temperature around 27 ℃; Content source has the characteristics of diversity, but mainlay with granite and other acidic salt.(3) By studying the relationship between associated elements, trace elements and the microstructure of coal rock composition, inorganic component correlation researchof the Keluke, found that most of the trace elements in coal occurrence in the study area is associated with organic and inorganic components.
