As the most reliable energy resource in the course of our country's development,coal resource's basic energy level can not be shaken.In order to exploit reasonably the coal resources in Balikun paper room exploration area,this paper studies the occurrence regularity,coal quality characteristics and industrial uses of the main mineable coal seams in the paper room exploration area by means of collecting data and drawing charts,the correlation among coal quality indexes is analyzed,and the main results are as follows:Zhifang exploration area is located in the northeast of Junggar basin.The main coal bearing stratum is the Xishanyao Formation?J2x?of Middle Jurassic,which contains four minable coal seams?B1,B3,B4,B5?.The correlation of the four main coal seams is reliable,and the occurrence depth is generally from northwest to Southeast.The thickness has a certain zonation,and generally has a trend of thickening from west to East.The sedimentary environment of Xishanyao Formation in the exploration area is mainly Braided River Delta,and the delta plain is the main place for coal accumulation.The main thick coal seams developed when the stage of lake basin rising.The coal in this area is mainly long flame coal which has low ash content,high volatile matter,ultra-low sulfur and high calorific value,with weak slagging property,good reactivity to CO2 and is rich in oil,the industrial uses are power coal,gasification coal and coking coal.The ash,volatiles,sulfur and calorific value of the main coal seams have some zonation,and the ash shows a general trend of low in north and high in south,but no obvious rule in trend.The distribution of volatile yield had no obvious change along the strike,the south was slightly lower than the north,sulfur had no significant change along trend and tendency,but had increase at the individual boundary The distribution of heat is generally higher in the north-central region than around the boundary.The volatile yield of coal is positively correlated with hydrogen and negatively correlated with carbon;the high calorific value of dry basis is negatively correlated with ash yield and volatile yield,and positively correlated with carbon;the calorific value of B5,B4 and B3 coal is positively correlated with hydrogen,and the calorific value of B1 coal is negatively correlated with hydrogen;the flow temperature of coal ash decreases with the increase of the total amount of alkaline oxides.
