With the increasing demand for natural gas and ongoing progress in new exploration and stimulation techniques, the Sandstone gas with low permeability & porosity, as one of the most promising and exploitable resources in the 21st century, will play a more prominent role in the coming future. The distribution of large-scale and low permeable & abundant Shenmu gas field along the main watercource indicates the urgency of sandstone distribution and reservoir study, drilling effectiveness tracking, optimal enrichment area and well location selection via dynamic data of gas/production test, which all provide the technical support for the rolling construction and effective exploitation of gas field. This thesis, based on core analysis, drilling, logging, seismic date and combination of geological and seismic technology, conducts the comprehensive reservoir evaluation through study on sedimentary facies(model) and sandstone distribution, reservoir characteristics, gas/production test analysis, lateral prediction by seismic data and gas content distribution from diagenetic facies band analysis, selects the relatively enrichment area as well as puts forward suggestions for well location optimal deployment by means of gas/production test and dynamic data.
