North China Craton is part of the most ancient continental blocks in the world. The region distribute abundant Precambrian mineral resources, including copper reserves is huge, and being a real good prospecting potential. That is a guarantee for the sustainable development of mineral resources of our country. At present, we should be to the North China Craton copper resources for further exploration and research in our country economic development demand.This article selects the Langshan Mountain area of Inner Mongolia as the research area, making research analysis and metallogenic prediction to the area of jet sedimentary type copper of the North China Craton in the Precambrian Neoproterozoic period. The study area is located in west-central of Inner Mongolia, northwest of Baotou City, the northern margin of the North China Craton, were experienced lengthy and complicated tectonic movements, multiphase fold superposition, ductile shear metamorphic deformation. Fracture structure is mainly with later reversed fault, having the characteristic of large scale, multiple activities. Region of metallogenic potential is bigger, that is looking for a variety of mineral areas of great potential. The area is famous for producing copper and iron ore.This study is based on summarizing copper metallogenic background and characteristics of metallogenic conditions in the study area, anaglicising of the regional mineralization process and the key controlling factors, to use of geology, mineral, geophysics, geochemistry and other kinds of GIS data to carry on the ore-forming geological factor analysis, including the metallogenic material source (source), metallogenic migration pathway (motion), metallogenic gathering space (gather) and all kinds of the quantitative characterization of geological anomalies (change) and feature extraction, to establish the models of the mineralization process quantitative evaluation, to delineate the huge amounts of mineral accumulation, combining with the quantitative analysis of preservation condition after metallogenic, finally determine the best ore-finding area.In this paper, the main research contents include; (1) Collecting predecessors’ research data and communicating with other team, to summarize the metallogenic mechanism of the jet sedimentary type copper deposits in the study area, occurrence form of mining and regularities of distribution, on the basis of this finding of regional mineral resources potential evaluation and prospecting breakthrough; (2) Establishing the model of the metallogenic series in the study area as a whole reflect the model of metallogenic environments, ore-controlling factors, mineralization, thus guide to find the unknown deposit; (3) To collect the data of mineral products in the research area, and geological, geophysics, geochemistry data, using the 3 s technology to establish a set of suitable for jet sedimentary type copper deposits in the study area of technology method, and carries on the quantitative prediction and evaluation, to delineate prospecting prospect.
