Debris flow is a geologic hazard with the characteristic of sudden outbreak and heavy loss. Debris flow is a common nature disaster in mountains, especially in earthquake region. It is destructive strongly, directly damaging life and property. More survey and research is to be done, and then risk assessment, so that some economy and effective measures can be adopted. The subject Lengmu Gully is located in Baoxing County. With the impact of "5.12 Earthquake" and "4.20 Earthquake", debris flow disaster bring serious dangers. Beginning with the characteristic, the three conditions are analyzed for debris flow developing, and the Lengmu Gully is divided into three districts:clean water district, object supply district, accumulate district. Therefore, the corresponding characteristic values are calculated. As a result, the condition of object, water and topography are propitious to debris flow. The debris flow of Lengmu Gully has rich object and good topography, so debris flow will happen with enough rain.In this article, the characteristics are analyzed, the values are calculated, the risk is assessed. What’s more, the measures are put forward. In the center of governance and ecology recovery, civil-engineering measure and biology measure are adopted. The concrete measures have:blocking, fix, dredging, forever road, ecology recovery, science education. Only in these ways, can we prevent and reduce the impact of debris flow.
