Responsive film is a kind of materials whose physical or chemical properties will change when environment changes. Responsive photonic crystal is one of responsive films. One-dimensional photonic crystal (1DPhC) is the simplest photonic structure. Responsive photonic crystals are typically designed so that the analytes alter the domain spacing and/or refractive index of one component of the photonic material. However, there are not many advantages in using photonic crystals in environmental monitoring. In this paper, in order to prepare responsive films, we do research on the fabrication and applications of titania/ graphene oxide responsive films.The particular contents of this paper are as follows:1) Fabrication of TiO2/GO lDPhCs on hollow multilayered polyelectrolyte (HMPE) nanocapsules substrate:in order to improve responseness of 1DPhCs, hollow multilayered polyelectrolyte nanocapsules are used as responsive one-dimensional photonic crystals substrates in this study. Spin-coating was employed to fabricate 1DPhCs. Responsiveness of one-dimensional photonic crystal on hollow multilayered polyelectrolyte nanocapsules substrate to pH, organic solvents and salt solutions are measured and results are compared with conventional capsule-free one-dimensional photonic crystals. (Chapter Two)2) Fabrication of TiO2/GO/responsive hydrogel 1DPhCs:in order to improve responseness of 1DPhCs, responsive hydrogel is introduced to 1DPhCs to form a new photonic structure named TiO2/GO/responsive hydrogel. In this paper, TiO2/GO/P(NIPAM-AA) 1DPhC is prepared. Responsiveness of TiO2/GO/P(NIPAM-AA) 1DPhCs to temperature and application in thermometer are detected. (Chapter Three)3) Fabrication of TiO2/GO lDPhCs with a polyaniline (PANI) defect:in order to improve responseness, porous materials, PANI and GO hydrogel are explored as the defect and photonic structure respectively. We intend to use the structural features of porous materials to detect analyte. In this paper, Ti02/GO 1DPhC with a PANI defect is prepared. To proof-of-concept, the obtained 1DPhCs are used to study the response to beta-glucan solutions. (Chapter Four)4) Fabrication of TiO2/GO 1DPhCs with Au:on one hand, photonic crystals can detect analytes by altering the domain spacing and/or refractive index of one component of the photonic material. On the other hand, the 1DPhC can be be utilized as a Bragg reflection mirror to improve fluorescence. In this paper, TiO2/GO lDPhC with Au is prepared. The fluorescence deposited on 1DPhCs with Au was obviously enhanced in comparison with 1DPhCs. (Chapter Five)...
