| The resource potential in Cambrian has a great significant for the hydrocarbon exploration in Ordos Basin. This needs to figure out the presence of source rock,the distribution and hydrocarbon generation potential of the source rock. In this study, combining with the research achievements of predecessors, on the basis of core observation and field reconnaissance, we comprehensively use geochemical petroleum geological and geophysical data, etc to confirm that there is Cambrian effective hydrocarbon source rocks, then analysis sedimentary characteristics and hydrocarbon generation potential of Cambrian effective hydrocarbon source rocks.Through the analysis of Cambrian lithology and total organic carbon, define that the Cambrian hydrocarbon source rocks is sedimented in XuZhung and MaoZhuang Formation. Combining analysis data with the well-logging information, the TOC and thickness of Cambrian hydrocarbon source rocks are established. Basised on that we calculate residual organic carbon and thickness of hydrocarbon source rocks. According to different maturity unit to recovery the primitive organic carbon and then determine the distribution characteristics of the effective hydrocarbon source rock. It turns out that XuZhung and MaoZhuang Formation is given priority to medium abundance of hydrocarbon source rocks. Analysis combined with the hydrocarbon source rock distribution and sedimentary environment,sums up that hydrocarbon source rock development is controlled by anoxic deep sag and rapid transgression.In different tectonic units, on the basis of the combination of burial history, hydrocarbon generation history with the former laboratory results, the gas generation strength of the source rocks is calculated. The result of the calculation in Ordos basin Cambrian hydrocarbon source rocks is that the total gas generation is 9.8×1012m3, the gas generation of XuZhung Formation is 5.5×1012m3,the gas generation of MaoZhuang Formation is 4.3×1012m3。... |
