The landscape pattern change is a hot spot in the current research and it is important to study the influence of the landscape pattern change on the landscape pattern. Simultaneously,it is considerably important for the protection and management of the Huaxi river basin to use the Geographic Information System, the Remote Sensing and the Global Positioning Technology to study the landscape pattern change of the Huaxi river basin and confirm the influence of the landscape pattern change.First of all, this thesis uses the softwares of the ERDAS9.2, the Arc GIS and the e Cognition8.7 to process and analyze the collection and collation of the Huaxi river basin information which contains the collection of the four TM images in 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and then use the Fragstats4.2 software to analyze the landscape.And the next is that analyzing the change of the ecological landscape by selecting the ecological evaluation index and analyzing the change of the ecological landscape and the vegetation coverage and the soil erosion in Huaxi river basin by using the transfer matrix method and then study the effects and the driving force of the landscape pattern change on the Huaxi river basin which provides the reference to the environmental protection on Huaxi river basin and the main conclusions are as the following:(1) The land area of the construction has increased by 12016.63hm2 from 2000 to 2015 which was considerably rapid and the land area of the construction in 2015 is 3.61 times as much as that in 2000. From 2000 to 2015, the area of the forest land, the dry land and the scrub block was reduced rapidly.(2)From the number of the quantities of the pieces, the density of the block and the status quo of the block which can be seen the overall of the Huaxi river basin landscape’s heterogeneity and fragmentation increased from 2000 to 2015 and that it reached the maximum in 2010.(3) The influence of the landscape pattern change on the Huaxi river basin is as the following: From the vegetation coverage degree, it can be seen that the vegetation coverage increased first and then decreased from 2000 to 2015. However, the vegetation coverage degree reached the maximum in 2010 and it was the lowest in 2015. From the loss rate of the soil and the water, the loss rate of the soil and the water decreased from 2000 to 2010 and increased from 2010 to 2015 which reached a maximum in 2015. This also displays that the influence of the ecological environment if the Huaxi river basin affected by the human activities from 2010 to 2015 was the largest and the damaging effected by the human activity is relatively small from 2000 to 2010.(4) The driving factors that affected the change of the landscape pattern on Huaxi river basin from 2000 to 2015 which includes the natural factors, the human factors,the policy factors and the natural driving factors which caused the change of the landscape pattern in Huaxi river basin which mainly includes the geology, the landform, the climate and the natural disaster. However, the human driving forces of the landscape pattern change on Huaxi river basin that mainly includes the population change, the expansion of the urban construction land and the destruction of the natural ecosystem. Furthermore, the policy factor is the most important driving force for the landscape pattern change which is mainly the decision-making of the regional development, the development of the planning and so on. For example, the construction of the New District on the landscape pattern changes on Huaxi river basin bring about some important influence.
