Rare earth elements are very scarce strategic resources. And its use is very extensive and important. It has been found from previous studies that several ore bodies in Zoujiashan uranium deposit enrich much REE, especially HREE. To identify the heavy rare earth existing features and ore-controlling factors in the associated uranium deposit, and explore its enrichment mineralization mechanism, is a very meaningful work.In this paper, the HREE enrichment ore bodies of Zoujiashan deposit in Xiangshan uranium are treated as the research objects. Basing on the previous collate datas of other reaserchers, systematically geological surveys, using micro-scope, electron probe micro, chemical analysis, exploring rare earth elements leaching behaviors under acidic conditions, and other technical methods. By studying the deposit’s rock petrography and geochemical characters to identify the characteristics of REE occurrence, explore the factors of havey rare earth(HREE) enrichment in the uranium deposit preliminary. Through the above works, there are several preliminary understandings:(1) The characteristics of REE occurrence in ZoujiashanAssociated rare earth contents are high, up to 1% and the average content of is 0.322 %. And with the U contents of the ore increasing, the total amount of rare earth also increases. But they are not positive correlation. The Light rare earth contents of rich ore bodies are very close to the near wall rock alteration zone and the surrounding rocks. It showed no significant correlation between the light rare earths and uranium contents. This ore deposit is a HREE enrichment type deposit. Its REE pattern is leftist type. With the increasing of the uranium content, left-leaning slope is also growing.Zoujiashan HREE enrichment situation is presented obviously. And with the increasing of the uranium contents, the heavy rare earth elements enrich more obviously. And the heavy rare earth elements fractionate violently. All of the ores show negative Eu anomaly.(2) Comparison of Zoujiashan uranium ore mine and near-wall rock alteration features rare occurrenceConpared with the content of the heavy rare earth in the surrounding rock and wall rock alteration NEARPRE background area, the content of the heavy rare earth in ore was significantly higher. HREE and uranium exhibit obvious positive correlation. This conclusion shows that the light rare earth ore and heavy rare earths behavioral differences. In ore and surrounding rock, δEu both behaves significant negative anomalies and δCe behaves not significant abnormality. δEu and δCe transform sightly, which presume cause by similar redox environment.Content of HREE all have increased in both damouritization altered rock edge portions of all samples, indicating migration of HREE during damouritization hydrothermal alteration. damouritization closely contact with accompany of elevated uranium content and HREE.(3) Results of acidic conditions leaching :From immersion of acid to acid sequence in the oxidant addition, the leaching showed that HREE leaching rate is about twice larger than LREE leaching rate.Under the premise of sufficient acidification, in the condition of same acidification and oxidant, the highest rate of leaching 15 type of rare earth elements is Gd and La leaching rate was lowest. In the same soaking conditions with increasing atomic number, the light rare earth elements(La ~ Eu) leaching rate increased significantly, while the HREE elements(Gd ~ Lu-Y) leaching rate is a slight decline.Followed speculation, in Zoujiashan uranium deposit hydrothermal mineralization process, compared to LREE, HREE is more accessible to hydrothermal and co-migration with uranium, so gathering of HREE in enrichment of uranium ore is more obvious.
