The Construction And Empirical Research Of Subject Information Analysis Model Based On ESI

Using intelligence tools to analyze subject intelligence is one of the hot research areas, which also reflected the service ability to other disciplines of information science, this master’s thesis combined big data thinking and intelligence analysis process to build subject intelligence analysis model based on ESI in five aspects: subject data acquisition, subject data processing, subject intelligence analysis, subject information utilization, information user feedback. Meanwhile, this paper build index system of the subject intelligence analysis model through four perspectives: subject output, subject influence, research topics, subject environment, aim at forming a universal ESI subject intelligence analysis method, to provide all-round perspective for ESI subject information service, subject assessment and decision-making.Molecular Biology & Genetics is a developing discipline in 21 st century, it has great value for the study of human health, treatment of disease and biological evolution, but only few colleges and universities of china enter into ESI Molecular Biology & Genetics’ ranking, this paper will analysis subject intelligence with the examples of Molecular Biology & Genetics of colleges and universities in Jiangsu.Main research contents as follows: first of all, the evaluation theory and method at home and abroad were reviewed. Secondly, we prove the feasibility of this dissertation by using correlation analysis on the Ministry of Education of China’s Disciplinary evaluation result and ESI based disciplinary ranking of Chinese universities and correlation analysis between ESI disciplines and class-one doctoral disciplines of Chinese mainland universities. Thirdly, build the subject intelligence analysis model based on ESI, positive analysis of ESI Molecular Biology & Genetics in Jiangsu province and abroad from the perspective of research performance and topics is did by using the analysis model.The results of the study shows that, there are highly correlate relations between ESI evaluation and expert review, the intelligence analysis model based on ESI has a certain universality. The output and influence of ESI Molecular Biology & Genetics paper in Jiangsu Province in is showing rapid growth. The fund paper ratio is higher than the global sample of colleges and universities, but the research topic of Jiangsu focuses on Genetics & Heredity while the world’s top3 universities major in Cell Biology. We suggested that colleges and universities in Jiangsu province continue to increase investment in Molecular Biology & Genetics, generate strategy of benchmarking in ESI subject, carry out international communication, pay more attention to the international research hot spot and new theorys and methods, comprehensive upgrade the strengths and international influence of Molecular Biology & Genetics in Jiangsu Province.
