Fansanjiang area is a basin region group located in eastern Heilongjiang Province from Sanjiang to Muling River during the Early Cretaceous. In China, this area which contains Sanjiang Basin, Shuangyashan Basin, Boli Basin, Hulin Basin, Jixi Basin, Ningan Basin and so on covers about 8×10~4km~2. Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary strata are developed in this area with a thickness of sedimentary rocks more than 2000 meters and has a condition of generating and accumulating hydrocarbon. It’s one of the key areas about explorating oil and gas of Mesozoic and Cenozoic in northeast China’s in the future.Basin analysis、structural geology and petroleum geology theory are used in this thesis. On the foundation of understanding the areal structure background of the Fansanjiang region, I study the Structural characteristics of residual basin groups of Mesozoic and Cenozoic in Fansanjiang. Combining with the characteristics of sediment filling, I mainly analysis the history of structural evolution of the objective residual basin and compare the characteristics of tectonic evolution in the northwest of Sanjiang basin、central of Boli basin and eastern of Hulin Basin in the northwest of the region of interest. The region of Fansanjiang has mainly developed in middle and late Jurassic and early Cretaceous. The faults’ structure in the residual basin groups in Fansanjiang region is very complex and faults are large number of times over, each truncated, intertwined, making complicated structural pattern, mainly NE、ENE、NW-trending. According to the difference of the basin basements and basement faults characteristics of different faults in the basin. The residual basin group showing an overall history of extensional basins in its development and the times are different, and went through different transformation process. Mesozoic rift basins developed in central and western region and the late Mesozoic began to squeeze return Mesozoic rift basin produced limited in the east and mainly by the transform by Neogene strike-slip extrusion.
