The property of parts surface influence its running reliability, and the friction and wear of surface is the one of main cause which lead to failure. How to decrease the coefficient of friction was widely researched. In recent years, many scientists used Laser processing, Electro erosion, chemical corrosion and so on to conduct surface treatment(surface texturing)to research its friction and wear property. Research shows that different texturing style and different texture parameter represent different friction and wear property. The paper will research from the following.1、Using Nd:YAG laser process pit texture fristly. Laser processing is widly used in surface treatment, its heat affected area, thermal stress and thermal deformation is smaller, and processing speed is faster. Laser processing can process kinds of texture shape, and there is no noise and pollution during the processing.2、The specimen will be accurate grinded after the processing finished. The surface roughness must lower than Ra0.2, and this level will conform to control. The specimen is the standard test specimen which used on the SRV machine. The main parameter of the pit texture: texture diameter are 100μm, 200μm and 300μm. The areal density are 5%, 15% and 25%. The depth is about 10μm.3、Find out the reasonable parameter of pit texture under the special condition of experiment, then optimize parameter. During the comparative trial between the texturing surface and the smooth surface find that friction and wear of texturing surface is better than smooth surface,and the friction and wear property of diameter 300μm and the areal density 5% and the depth 10μm is the best in the all specimen, the friction coefficient decreased about 11%, and the friction and wear property is stable.The experiment analyse the friction and wear influence on surface texture all-round. The analysis has support some foundation of experiment.
