Mechanical drive flange fork is a very important part, passing all of the driving force,load weight, poor working conditions, both in terms of the complexity of the structure orload conditions have a very typical representative. Manufacturing processes flange forkgenerally open die forging and casting, not only difficult to guarantee the mechanicalproperties and low yield, long production cycles, high costs. With the development ofclosed die forging technology, which has become a new way of producing such a fork, thefork this method produces the flange forging a reasonable distribution of the fiber flowlines, significantly improved mechanical properties. In this paper, a model for the studyflange fork, using numerical simulation and physical experiments combining method, theflange fork closed die forging process conducted in-depth research.In this paper, the structural characteristics of the flange forging forks were analyzedto design the fork closed die forging flange forming process. Using rigid-plastic finiteelement method, finite element analysis software DEFORM-3D as a platform for theadvantages and disadvantages of closed die forging flange fork program to analyze andfinalize a forming process.This article discusses the process parameters on the flange fork forging forming andshaping forces affect quality, the use of single-factor rotation method, the ratio of height todiameter billet, pressing speed presses, die preheating temperature and other factors werestudied to determine the flange fork closed die forging process, and physical experimentsverified. The results show that in the forming process determine the forgings good quality,the required forming force is small, but large cracks and wear of the punch occurred.For plastic deformation and wear problems occur punch, this paper studied the frictionfactor, pressing speed presses, punch mold preheat effects on the temperature field andwear regularity. Determine the effective prevention of die failure of technology program.
