This paper introduces the principle, applications of semiconductor photocatalysisand the recent research progress about the electrode material, and the preparationmethods of CoxNi1-xO nanomaterials were reviewed in the paper. With TiO2NTs,Titanium plate and Carbon paper as base, CoxNi1-xO nanometerial electrode wasprepared, and by using X-ray diffractometer (XRD), field emission scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM), uv-vis diffuse reflection spectra (UV-Vis) and electrochemicalworkstation (CHI660C) analyze its morphology and photoelectric properties. The maincontents are as follows:①Different Co/Ni molar ratios affect the morphology of the CoxNi1-xO/TiO2NTscomposite materials, with the increase of Co/Ni molar ratio, increasing the length of therod and the diameter, and forming the sparse mesh structure.②CoxNi1-xO with different bases composite, such as TiO2NTs, Titanium plateand Carbon paper, by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy experiment confirmed,CoxNi1-xO composite can decrease the electron transfer resistance, with the increase ofCo/Ni molar ratio, the electron transfer resistance trends to the smaller.③By ultraviolet visible (UV-Vis) diffuse reflection spectra indicates,theabsorption band edge of TiO2NTs is about380nm, with the composite of CoxNi1-xO, theabsorption band edge is widen. The corresponding wavelength expands outside thevisible light absorption edge, namely in visible light is easily inspired.④The CoxNi1-xO/TiO2NTs composite materials show the better morphology, thesmaller electron transfer resistance and the better photoelectric response. But due to themagnetic CoxNi1-xO, the separation of electrons and holes in the magnetic materials iseasy to recombination when transferring,and the composite of CoxNi1-xO with differentbases affected the efficiency of photoelectric conversion and maked the photocurrentdroping rapidly.⑤By linear scanning volt-ampere curve test, the composite of CoxNi1-xO withTiO2NTs and Titanium plate shows the better of the Oxygen and Hydrogen evolutionand the response of the visible light. The composite of CoxNi1-xO with TiO2NTsobviously decreased the Hydrogen evolution and Oxygen evolution potential ofTiO2NTs.
