Alkynes are one of the most important materials in organic synthesis. Alkynes have attractedthe interest of the chemical researchers. Our objectives are to develop transiton-metal-freeconditions or catalytic system to selectively form C-O, C-N bonds. Our research on activation and functionalisation of alkynes has led to a series of new resultswhich will be presented in the following six chapters. In Chapter1, we introduces the reaction features of Alkynes, the effective synthesis methodsand the progress on selective C-O, C-N bond formation from Alkynes, and introduces thesignificane of this research subject. In Chapter2, a silver-catalyzed highly efficient synthesis of a wide range of methyl ketonesfrom terminal alkynes is described. The reactions are conducted under convenient conditions andprovide products with excellent regioselectivity in moderate to excellent yields. In Chapter3, an efficient procedure for the preparation of α-acetoxy ketone derivatives bypalladium-catalyzed oxidation reactions employing molecular oxygen as the sole oxidant isreported. In Chapter4, a AgF/TFA-promoted highly efficient synthesis of a wide range ofα-haloketones from haloalkynes is described. The broad substrate scope is conducted. Theproducts could be functionalized through transition-metal-catalyzed reactions, such asSonogashira reactions. In Chapter5, a highly efficient synthesis of a wide range of2,5-disubstituted pyrazines from(Z)-β-haloenol acetates is described. The absence of any transition-metal can make the methodmore valuable. Finally the research summary, research achievements, and acknowledgement are introductedsuccessively.
