Research And Design Of Multifunctional Furniture Large-sized Apartment

During recent decades, the city house prices have witnessed a rapidboom that small dwelling-size apartments which have relatively lowerprice are favored by the public. Meeting the demand of living, dining,work, sleep, accommodation, bathing, toileting functions, thesesmall-sized accommodation, however, equipped with all the neededfunctions within the limited living space. In order to possess so muchfunction, the limited space need to change and transform. That is to saythat part of the space can play the role of other multiple spaces, makingeach functional space be flexibly shifted. Thus, the multi-functionfurniture, which owns the characteristics of multifunctional, deformableand small, can make the specific furniture have no longer only onespecific function and can be timely continuous and spatiallytransformable. Through a combination of furniture or the specific changeof form of furniture, it can make furniture multi-functional to meet theneed of the limited living space.Through the case study of outstanding furniture design cases insideand outside our country and the minimalist-designed multi-functionalchildren’s bookshelf design, under the understanding of the developmentof the overall trend of the furniture and even the small dwelling-sizeapartment furniture as well as their needs, this dissertation is going to conduct the sampling survey and statistical analysis on the existingbookshelf products, consumer behavior and psychology as well as marketsituation. At the same time, it will do further analysis on several elementsinvolving in designing small dwelling-size apartment furniture, such asspace, color, shape and user’s mental effect. In the end, this researchlooks forward to be the milestone of the study of the small dwelling-sizeapartment furniture and offering theoretical support for follow-up study.
