Organic carbon and elemental carbon aerosols settle into ground environmentunder gravity, which is the significant part of the geochemical carbon cycle. But, sofar, in the study of the carbon cycle, this section of the carbon sink is often ignored.This study monitors dustfall through setting up sampling points in Nanchang andstudies the spatial and temporal variations of dust flux. Then, the study qualitativelyanalyses organic carbon and elemental carbon of the dust by using relevant scientificinstruments. Finally it estimates deposition flux of organic carbon and elementalcarbon in Nanchang. It draws the following results:1) During2013.10~2013.12, The variation of dust flux in Nanchang:3.59~21.45t/(km2month); Monthly average dust flux is10.97,8.57and8.56t/(km2month)respectively;2) The variation of organic carbon concentration in Nanchang:1.13~21.88mg/g;The variation of monthly average organic carbon concentration in Nanchang:3.14~15.39mg/g;3) The variation of elemental carbon concentration in Nanchang:3.51~49.75mg/g; The variation of monthly average elemental carbon concentration in Nanchang:3.14~15.39mg/g;4) Using other city’s evaluation standard of dust, the dustfall in Nanchang isslightly polluted.4) The variation of deposition flux of organic carbon in Nanchang:3.24~128.70kg/(km2·month); The variation of monthly average deposition flux of organic carbonin Nanchang:13.28~68.16kg/(km2·month);5) The variation of deposition flux of elemental carbon in Nanchang:17.91~291.25kg/(km2·month); The variation of monthly average deposition flux ofelemental carbon in Nanchang:36.80~188.26kg/(km2·month);6) it estimates that deposition flux of organic carbon in Nanchang is4276.04t/aand deposition flux of elemental carbon in Nanchang is5920.06t/a.7) The variation of the ratio of OC and EC concentration in2013.10:0.34~1.09; The variation of the ratio of OC and EC concentration in2013.11:0.27~0.92; Thevariation of the ratio of OC and EC concentration in2013.12:0.21~1.00. The theratio of OC and EC concentration in dust is lower than it in PM2.5.8) In some areas of Nanchang, there is a negative exponential relation betweendust flux and the concentration of organic carbon and elemental carbon is relativelylow.
