China is a country produces the most amount of fly ash in the world, but also the mostpolluted of fly ash in the world. Fly ash mainly comes from the combustion of coal in thethermal power plant; it is a kind of industrial waste residue with larger emissions in ourcountry. Compared with foreign countries, in our country the utilization of fly ash is lower. The progress of making deeper level use of fly ash is relatively slow. Therefore, availableresources in order to achieve regeneration, eliminate environmental pollution caused by flyash, we should make full use of fly ash and turn waste into treasure. It becomes an importantresearch direction relevant environmental protection and the development of renewableresources in our country. In this paper the fly ash solid waste as the object of study. We extract alumina powderand aluminum ions from fly ash using the method of adding a co-solvent. After a series ofexperimental analysis available, the extraction effect of this method is good. Al3+and Fe3+ions can be extracted by this method. Under conditions of high temperature, high pressure andalkali dissolution, Silicate becomes sodium silicate solution. Ultimately through a series ofexperimental manipulations poly aluminum ferric silicate flocculants can be obtained. Thenaccording to its flocculation, the flocculation experiment with kaolin clay simulatedwastewater can be performed to achieve the purpose of treating wastewater. The main results of this paper are as follows.1. Using sodium carbonate as a co-solventextracts alumina in fly ash. By investigating the influence of material ratio of the fly ash andsodium carbonate, calcinations temperature, calcinations reaction time, concentration of acidleaching, acid leaching temperature, acid leaching time and other experimental conditions onthe extraction yield of alumina, ultimately the best conditions for the reaction are determined.Under these conditions the alumina extraction ratio is up to60.16%.2.Using ammoniumfluoride as a co-solvent extracts Al3+ions in fly ash. By investigating the influence of material ratio of the fly ash and ammonium fluoride, pH value, reacting temperature, reactiontime and other experimental conditions on the extraction yield of Al3+ions, ultimately thebest conditions for the reaction are determined. Under these conditions the Al3+ionsextraction ratio is up to72.19%.3.To deal with fly ash with optimal reaction conditions ofsodium carbonate roasting method. After a series of reactions such as sulfuric acid leaching, polysilicic acid solution is prepared. Then by the introduction of Al3+and Fe3+ions polyaluminum ferric silicate flocculants are obtained, and they can be used to deal with kaolinclay simulated wastewater. During the reaction, by investigating the influence of Al、Fe andSi molar ratio, Al and Fe molar ratio, pH value, maturing temperature, the initial pH value ofthe water samples, flocculants dosage, flocculation time and other experimental conditions onthe effect of flocculants to deal with wastewater. Ultimately the best conditions for thereaction are determined. Under these conditions light transmittance of kaolin clay simulatedwastewater is up to96.2%, the treatment effect is ideal.
