The terrain in the southeastern part of Tibet is mainly composed of alpine valleys. As themain component of the ecosystem, forest system plays an important role in waterconservation, soil conservation, climate regulation, etc. But as the high altitude, atrociousclimate conditions, and geological condition is not stable, the regional mountain forestecological system is fragile and the failure recovery is more difficult. With theimplementation of Tibet "Twelfth Five Year Development Plan" highway traffic andtransportation in Tibet "supernormal" project, the regional highway construction scaleenlarges unceasingly, and highway construction on the ecological effect of the region isgrowing. Not only destroyed the local vegetation, caused soil erosion, it also affected thegrowth of the wild animals and plants, influenced the integrity of the local ecosystem.According to the special environmental characteristics of the plateau mountainous areaof Southeastern Tibet, with the Tibet highway construction project, the author analyses theinfluence of the permanent and temporary land covering to the ecological environment, wildanimals and plants, landscape along the highway in the process of highway construction inthis paper. As a reference for ecological environment protection in highway constructionprojects, the author puts forward the measures applied in the practical projects for protectingthe ecological environment, the wild animals and plants in highway construction projects.
