Polystyrene foam plastic, an organic insulation material, is with a close cell foam, lightweight, effective heat preservation and energy-saving. But presently, polystyrene foam plastic board is greatly limited in building exterior walls for it is inflammable and releasing toxic gases. In recent years, polystyrene board is a main material used in organic building, and problems like fire hazard gradually expose. Therefore, the research and development of high fire rating insulation materials in building insulation has become a necessity and also researchers hotspot.To make a comprehensive and in-depth study on improving the flame retardant property of polystyrene foam plastic, effective fire-retardant treatment must be carried out. This thesis designs and manufactures highly fire-retardant polystyrene foam board pre-foam equipment by myself. This pre-foam equipment is one of the key equipments for EPS beads, fire-retardant insulation board production and other systems. To maintain uniform particle sizes of the beads by precisely controlling the first serve density of the beads and ensure sufficient expansion rate for the second molded foam. The result shows that:the foam level particle size is between1.00-1.60mm, the pre-expansion time is30s,50s,70s,90s,110s; pre-expansion density is35.6932g/L,20.3836g/L,18.2700g/L,17.2760g/L,16.8480g/L. The flame retardant particle size is between0.6-0.9mm and the pre-expansion time is1min,1.5min,2min,2.5min,3min; the bead density is26.4g/L,25.72g/L,25.2g/L,24.64g/L,23g/L.This research also uses homemade flame-retardant foam polystyrene foam insulation board mold experimental device, and chooses pre-expansion beads as experimental to launch probe tests. Verifying the feasibility of homemade device and test result shows that:When the dosage of PF is10%, the dosage of EG will be6%, the flame retardant foam insulation board properties are as follows:the density is22kg/m3, the tensile strength is greater than0.2mpa, the thermal conductivity is0.0336w/mk, and the oxygen index is24.3%.
