The hydraulic support as a key supporting equipment of fully mechanized mining face ofcoal mine, the working reliability and adaptability of it decide the safety and efficientproduction of coal mining. The large flow relief valve is a key component in the hydraulicsupport, and the function of it is to protect overload of hydraulic support, and that itsperformance is good or not directly affects the support ability of the hydraulic support. So thedynamic characteristic analysis and optimization of the large flow relief valve has been theresearch focus.In this paper, the research object is a large flow relief valve in the hydraulic supportwhich has been applied to the fully mechanized mining face, and according to its structuralcharacteristics and working principle, the relevant parameters about it are calculated, and thesimulation models of the large flow relief valve and its hydraulic control circuit wereestablished on AMESim software. Through the resaults of the simulations, analyzed thedynamic characteristics of the large flow relief valve working in the work condition of theroof pressure shock, and studied the influences of the large flow relief valve simulationmodels’setting parameters on its dynamic characteristics, such as, spring rate, quality of valvecore, dead zone, overflow hole number, setting pressure of the large flow relief valve and roofsubsidence velocity. The results show that appropriate increasing the spring stiffness, theoverflow hole number and the setting pressure is able to optimize the dynamic characteristicof the large flow relief valve.The work of researching the dynamic characteristics of a large flow relief valve providesthe theoretical basis for the designers to improve its structure and optimization the dynamicperformance, and has a realistic significance to ensure the safety and reliability of coalmining.
