Nowadays, China moves the Mineral resource center from the eastern region tothe western region. The ecological environment becomes more sensitive to the miningfor the original ecology who is fragile and is vulnerable to damage. Vegetation is themost direct and important factor in the ecological system,so its growth changescanrepresent the changes of ecology influencedby coal mining. In this paper, Buliantaand Daliuta are selected as the study area, both of them have the two typical soil type(the Elian loess and hard ridge area of loess) in the western mining region. From theperspective of working face, We monitored the spatiotemporal vegetation and analyzedthe disturbance laws of mining on vegetation, combining with the prediction ofmining subsidence, stratification of site conditionand by using multi-temporal andmulti-sensorremote sensing images, The conclusions were made as follows.Uncertainty analysis of the mining disturbance on vegetation was studied bycomparingthe correlation between the vegetation and rainfall and the timing variationof vegetation in different human impact area. The correlation is lowest in mining areaand is highest in the non-mining area. It means vegetation is less susceptible to rainfallin the mining area, while more susceptible in the nature area; compared the changingtrend of the spatiotemporal vegetation’s in mining, rebuild, natural area, the vegetationin the mining increases considerably less than that in the rebuild and natural area.Overall, it indictates that mining activity has the negative influence on vegetation. The site condition is classified by the terrain, soil, vegetation and so on to analyzethe mining’s impact on the vegetation in different condition. By analyzing thevegetation’s disturbance on different soil types, it can be found the vegetation in Elianloessresponds faster than that in hard ridge area of loess, and its restoration ability isbetter thanhard ridge area of loess; the mining have negative effect on all of thevegetation, but the degree of the influence is different, while the recovery ability of theshrub is poor, the herb is better. Shrub’s restoration may be later about oneyear than theherb;Impact of the hydrological condition’s changes caused by the coal mining on thevegetation is analyzed. The vegetation had negative disturbance when theleveldeclined to4.1m from0.7m after mining, and there were few impact of mining onvegetation when the level was more than10.83m; the intensity sequence in differentsurface deformation zone of vegetation disturbance is: tensile area vegetation> compression area vegetation> neutral zone vegetation; Distribution of ground fissuresare greatly influenced by mining and terrain, cracks affects vegetation’s growth in3m;The disturbance of vegetation growth was analyzed by using the microwave datafrom continuous tracking, The backscattering increases while the vegetation isincreasing, and the backward scattering of herb is relatively weak than shrubs and trees, the vegetation’s backscattering becomes fading out after the mining activity stops;Changes of the slope caused by mining subsidence have little effect on the backwardscattering of vegetation.
