The3D braided materials has been widely applied,because of their excellentcomprehensive properties and characteristics of design. At present, most of theresearches have focused on the four-step and two-step braiding methods. Owing to theconstraints of the processing technology, there exist too few varieties of3D braidedcomposite, which go against a better overall performance of3D braided materials. Thenew3D braided prediction research is still in its infancy.Based on the symmetry of space group R3, a kind of3D braided geometricalstructure was obtained. Compared with the existing braiding process, the3Dbraiding method has characteristics of both a four-step and two-step method. Based onthe new3D braiding process, according to certain rules of circulation, the yarn in thespace, the excellent performance material can be obtained eventually.The material derivation method have been studied completly, the braidedyarn trajectory of the material were studied dynamically, two braiding processing of3D braided composites were designed, through comparing the characteristics of thetwo technologies, the convenient industrialization scheme was chosen, based on thebraiding scheme of the material, the3D models of unit cell and the fabric werebuilt, the experimental equipment and the feasibility of process were further studied.The selected research model of three dimensional braiding processing have beenstudied completely. The main drive system, the platform components, the yarn carriersand driven components of the technological equipment were designed.The motion scheme of each movement part was determined.3D models of maincomponent from the braiding workbench were established.According to the model of3D braiding, through the experimental device ofbraiding, eventually braided material was obtained. The geometric structure of thematerial agreed the simulation model, the feasibility of3D braiding process wasconfirmed. Through the establishment of analysis model of braided geometric structure, the mathematical relationship between the fabric structure and related technology was deduced, the function of the fiber volume percentage content wasestablished, the possible range of the fiber volume percentage content was prediction.
