Unsaturated Alkynone compounds are a kind of important structural unit, which arewidely used as key intermediates in the synthesis of a variety of complex organiccompounds such as drug, dye and conductor materials.3-allyl-chromone, exists in bean and mulberry, is a privileged structural scaffold fordrug discovery due to its significant biological activities in vitro and in vivo, whichresults in the importance of efficient synthetic methods to build such structures. Wedesign a concise and efficient strategy for the synthesis of3-allylchromones via atandem reaction including Michael addition, Claisen rearrangement and Ullmann-typeO-arylation in one pot under metal-free conditions and a plausible reactionmechanism is proposed. Generally, in this procedure, the noble metal (gold orpalladium) is necessary and the starting materials are difficult to prepare. Wesynthesize a series of3-allyl-chromones derivatives under mild conditions by a simpleand effective method.α-diketone derivatives are great importance of precursors that have been proposedas versatile building blocks for the synthesis of pharmaceutical agents and functionalmaterials. Therefore, substantial efforts for the development of efficient syntheticstrategies towards these targets have been undertaken. We report a novel andenvironmentally friendly method as complement for the preparation of α-diketones byoxidative C-C bond cleavage of alkynones under atmospheric oxygen and a plausiblereaction mechanism is proposed. In this paper,3-allyl-chromone and α-diketone derivatives are synthesized undermild conditions. In this procedure, raw materials are availability, transition metal isnot necessary and operation is simple. This method is environmental friendly, lowcarbon economical, and has a wide application prospect.
