With the decreasing of oil resource, energy and environment problem has beenconsidered as the important one by many countries in the world, Considering thecharacter of our country’s energy and the need of environment protection, preparationof syngas from rich-methane gas has got great attention by domestic scholar andcorporation, such as natural gas, coal bed gas, coke oven gas, etc. With thebackground said above, study on preparation of syngas from methane-rich gas by nocatalytic partial oxidation in normal pressure was introduced.Using Nozzle, the influence of reactor temperature, ration of oxygen to methane, stuff flux under no catalyze condition and normal pressure on the production ofcarbon and syngas from pure methane by partial oxidation reaction was studied. Thenthe reaction mechanism and appropriate experiment conditions were summed up.Based on the above results, the effect of hydrogen on pure methane partial oxidationreaction was studied. Subsequently, the influence of stuff flux, proportion of oxygen, vapor flux on preparation of syngas from lab coke oven gas (LCOG: CH426%; H258%; Ar16%) by no catalytic partial oxidation was analyzed. After analyzing all experiment data, the following conclusions were obtained, the reaction mechanism of no catalytic partial oxidation from methane is dominatedby partial oxidation reaction and is assisted by reforming reaction; Reformingreaction can be improved by higher temperature, which is benefit for preparation ofsyngas; High flux of stuff can enhance the degree of gas mixture, reduce the reactiontime, which results in the decrease of methane conversion; The conversion ofmethane can be improved with the increasing proportion of O2in gas reaction, but theyield of CO and CO2will be decreased by excessive O2, which is disadvantage for theproduction of syngas; The conversion of methane was reduced by hydrogen byproducing a lot of water which can decrease the temperature of reaction system; There is excessive hydrogen in coke oven gas, whereas the influence of experimentcondition on producing syngas from LCOG is similar to those from natural gas andcoal bed gas; The production of carbon was reduced by adding vapor to reactant, however, the temperature of reaction system which is bad for preparation of syngas.
