Twelve Chinese zodiacs as a unique cultural symbols, the form of the animaltotem heritage records of our ancient folk traditions and human feelings, and in theyears of baptism, passed on from generation to generation, to flourish. Shaanxi folkarts, clay sculpture twelve Chinese zodiacs and cloth art twelve Chinese zodiacs, arethe art of redesigning and pattern of manifestation of twelve traditional Chinesezodiacs. They are made by the working people, they are the production of theworking people, and they are the crystallization of wisdom. The working peopleexpress their best wishes through their art creations. Nowadays Folk handicraftssurvival situation and development state is very worrying. The government, in orderto protect and inherit this project, has taken the Chinese zodiacs folk manual work ofart into the world intangible cultural heritage, which received the attention of peopleand the government’s strong support. In the modern society, with the deepening ofsocial understanding, strengthening national pride, the traditional classic folk cultureproducts to get people recognized. Attention to the national folk custom productfrom people has greatly improved than before. The deep connotation of Chinesetraditional folk classical art culture and unique artistic style gradually show in variouscontemporary product figure design. Aesthetic is not only limited to the westernculture and the popular chase after hold in both hands, people realized that the returnof the traditional classical culture and folk art inheritance and innovation is the eternaltheme of the development of art design.Cloth art twelve Chinese zodiacs handcraft is also called “Mother’s Art”, becausealmost all of them are sewn carefully by mothers for their kids. The craft passesfrom generation to generation, containing a deep mother love and good wishes&implications. Clothing is moving work of art, not only can express art connotationcan reflect more buyers wearer values aesthetics. National culture is rooted in arthas profound significance and lasting fresh vitality. The contemporary design oftraditional national style and cultural features in the diversified development continue to be paid attention, we can feel the social traditional folk classical culture and thereturn of the native aesthetic consciousness. Traditional folk culture of classical artof application&development and design of each field has complicated relationship.People’s clothing requirements not only stay in appearance, also need to have theircultural connotation to express the buyer’s aesthetic demand and value demand. Ourchildren’s clothing design starts relatively late, there are some problems in the market,on the design culture elements and spiritual elements is lacking. This paper is aim toget ideas from traditional classical folk culture art, by combining traditional designcolor and patterns with modern ones to make innovative design. Set a new platformwith the familiar Chinese zodiac, we use clothing as a road to heritage and spread theoutlook and inside meaning of folk culture art, also provide more ideas for thechildren’s clothing design with cultural connotation. Through this way, we inject newblood to the field of clothing for children. The traditional folk Chinese zodiac withdiversified form Make the traditional classic culture can be people find andunderstanding. Not only enrich innovative application of the new system of thetraditional classical pattern in the children’s clothing design, but also strengthenchildren’s clothing design of interest and emotional connotation, and promote theinjection with the national characteristics of Chinese contemporary children’s clothingdesign style formation.
