1. An oil/water separation mesh has been successfully fabricated by combiningmussel-surface chemistry and dip-coating method. The as-prepared RGO–polydopamine(PDA) coated mesh has graphene in its surface, and the low surface energy of carbon resultedin hydrophobic and oleophilic properties. It can selectively separate water from oil/watermixtures with a moderate efficiency.2. A novel carbonnanotubes(CNTs)–PDA coated mesh was successfully fabricated through asimple direct polymozation method. The as-prepared mesh showed superhydrophobic/superoleophilic properties without any further chemical modification (water contact angle ofabout147°), and possessed excellent separation ability for a selection of oil and water. Inaddition, the as-prepared meshes can be easily stored for reuse and showing its stablewettability in30times use.3. Buckminsterfullerene(C60)-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin(HY-β-CD) inclusive complexwas formed by using hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin as a host and C60as a guest. Thephotocatalyst of Eosin Y sensitized RGO with dispersed C60-HY-β-CD inclusive complexexhibits photocatalysis activity for ammonia evolution from nitrogen reduction. The presenceof ammonia was confirmed by chemical analysis and instrumental measurement.
