This dissertation focuses on the influent and effluent from one pharmaceutical factory innortheast, select different aquatic organisms at different trophic levels in the ecosystemdaphnia magna, luminescent bacteria, zebrafish egg, selenastrum capricornutum as testorganisms, consider death of the organism, luminescence decreases, malformations, reducedgrowth rate as the indicator, study the acute toxicity effect of pharmaceutical factory sewagetreatment plant influent and effluent to the four test organisms. Test results are expressed bymedian effective concentration EC50and toxic unit TUa. Meanwhile, through umu genetictoxicity test evaluates genetic toxicity effect of the influent and effluent samples. Thecomprehensive results of the acute toxicity and genetic toxicity test reflect the followingpreliminary conclusions:(1) Influent samples’daphnia magna, luminescent bacteria, zebrafish egg, selenastrumcapricornutum acute toxicity test EC50are0.197%,1.25%,3.04%,3.2%; TUa are508,80,33,31. The comprehensive toxicity assessment is high toxic wastewater.(2) Effluent samples’daphnia magna, luminescent bacteria, zebrafish egg, selenastrumcapricornutum acute toxicity test EC50are78.2%,43.58%,65.2%,63.1%; TUa are1,2,2,2.The comprehensive toxicity assessment is low toxic wastewater.(3) Different categories of test organisms’ toxicity evaluation results to influent andeffluent samples are highly consistent, but the sensitivity is different. In evaluation of influentsamples, daphnia magna acute toxicity test is the most sensitive, the specific sensitivity orderis daphnia magna>luminescent bacteria> zebrafish egg> selenastrum capricornutum. Inevaluation of effluent samples, luminescent bacteria acute toxicity test is the most sensitive, the specific sensitivity order is luminescent bacteria> selenastrum capricornutum> zebrafishegg> daphnia magna.(4) The umu genetic toxicity test results show that influent samples have low genetictoxicity, effluent samples have no genetic toxicity. Influent comprehensive evaluation is hightoxic wastewater show low genetic toxicity, low acute toxicity effluent show no genetictoxicity, we can get that there has no correlation between the acute toxicity and genetictoxicity. (5)Influent samples which contain high concentration, high toxicity formaldehyde, dichloromethane, toluene, cyanide and other organic or inorganic pollutants are treated by thehydrolytic acidification-UNITANK-BAF process, water quality has been significantlyimproved, acute toxicity of effluent decreased significantly and has no genetic toxicity. Butthe acute toxicity test results of effluent samples show that effluent samples still has a nonnegligible impact on the ecological system. This result agrees with that part physicochemicalindex does not reach the requirement of chemical synthesized pharmaceutical industrial waterpollutant discharge standard.
