In this paper, the SHS infiltration casting method is made, namely the use of V-EPC EPCprocess. Firstly, the SHS reactant is pre-placed in the position of the strengthening workpiece.Secondly, high-temperature molten iron is casted to SHS reaction, which produces thereinforcement ceramic particles from situ reaction with casting molding and provide newtechnology to generate particulate reinforced iron composite composites. Without affectingthe quality of response composite layer, the poor Al2O3particles instead of TiC particles isresearched. It is researched how aluminum in the SHS reactant has an effect on the compositelayer. It is researched how pressure and binder content in the preform molding process hasinfluenced over SHS infiltration casting reaction. And the abrasion wear mechanism ofparticulate reinforced iron composite composites is researched.Studies have shown that the best ratio of reaction composite layer system is Ti+C55%、Al+Fe2O340%、borax5%. With the increase of the Al element content in the reaction, theceramic reinforcement particle’s size after reaction decreases and then increases. When theratio of Aluminum and Iron Oxide is2:5, the produced ceramic composite particles is fine anduniformly distributed. With the increase of precast block molding pressure, the area ofcomposite reaction layer reduces after increases. When the preform molding pressure is105MPa, the reaction area of the composite layer is largest. With the binder content in thepreform increase, the reaction area of composite layer increases. When the binder contentreaches12%of the reaction, the reaction area of the composite layer is largest. If it continuesto increase the content of the binder, the blinder is extruded perform in the molding pressureof105MPa.Studies of abrasive wear have shown that the wear of Al2O3/TiC particle reinforcedcomposite material is2.75times than ductile iron. Ceramic particle reinforced body is fromfriction into rolling during wear and the cutting of matrix is prevented. This process plays asupporting loads, reducing the contact of the matrix with the abrasive. The abrasive wearproperties of composites are Improved. The main wear mechanism is micro-cutting andmultiple plastic deformation wear in the process of composite abrasive wear, which accompanies by fracture of brittle materials.
