Emulsion pump as a power source in fully mechanized coal face hydraulic prop andhydraulic support, have great influence on the performance of the hydraulic support operatingeconomy and reliability. In recent years, with the continuous development of coal mineintegrated technology of coal mining capacity and equipment technology, put forward higherrequirements on the performance of emulsion pump, the design method of the traditionaltime-consuming, laborious, and sometimes even can not realize the development of highperformance pump target. System simulation technology, as the key technology of structureoptimization design, provides effective technical support for the optimization design ofemulsion pump. The technology which can be starting from the component design,considering the properties of friction and liquid medium itself, applies to simulation researchfor mechanical, hydraulic system and further optimization of the design.In this article, combined with traditional design method and the system simulationtechnology, based on theoretical knowledge of emulsion pump, we established themathematical model of pump volume loss; using AMESim simulation software system, weestablished plunger pump system model. By comparing the analysis results of the two models,we achieve the purposes of optimizing parameters and improving structural design of pumps.The factors that influence the volumetric efficiency of emulsion pump as the startingpoint, highlight the volume loss caused by the valve delay and liquid compressed,to establishthe mathematical model of crankshaft rotation speed and volume loss, analyzing the effect onvolume efficiency of the pump design parameters and the crankshaft speed, calculate thevolume loss of determine pump. At the same time, using AMESim system simulationsoftware to establish the system of emulsion pump, analysis the relation between the suctionvalve and drain valve closing with the crankshaft speed; the pump volumetric efficiency with the pump valve open and close delay.Finally according to the operation requirements of the emulsion pump volumetricefficiency, synthetically utilizing the result with the mathematical model and the simulationexperiment, obtain the best crankshaft speed range under the normal feed liquid of the pump.It is important to the research and design on the high flow of emulsion pump, provide themethods for the research and design on emulsion pump, in order to improve the performanceof emulsion pump.
