It is an important geological faults affecting coal mine production safety, which is particularly common small faults. Stress distribution near the fault are very different, excavation disturbance will cause the fault displacement field around the plastic zone and the stress field redistribution. Especially in big dip thick seam mining process destroys the continuity and integrity of the fault seams, and then due to the nearby faults by the mining stress perturbations caused by fault reactivation off thereby causing broken seam roof and floor, severely restricting the safe and efficient mine mining.Given Gongwusu1604fully mechanized caving mining face complex geological conditions, such as coal seam thickness, face angle large, face length and other characteristics, the paper after extensive collection of information and on-site research, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and engineering practice a combination of methods to analyze fully mechanized caving face stress distribution in case of fault characteristics, the analysis of1604Gongwusu coal face stress distribution in case of fault characteristics and fragmentation studies with control.(1) By the16th Gongwusu coal seam coal and rock sampling, coal and rock mechanical properties, such as tests, the rock mechanical parameters, reflecting the16th direct coal large fine sandstone roof strength, the elastic deformation and brittle fracture characteristics very obvious;(2) Fault-related concepts and categories do a simple introduction.
