Shape memory polymer and its composite are new smart materials which canproduce large recovery deformation under a certain external excitation. Not only thismaterial can be used as structure material, but also can actively deform, and thusmakes the material has an extremely wide applications in the field of smartaerospace structure. When comes to study mechanical properties of the material,properties such as bending deformation, recovery driving dynamic performance aremainly concerned. Analyzing and studying mechanics theory of matrix material andcomposite material can make it more rational in the application.In this paper, heat-driven thermosetting epoxy shape memory polymer andcarbon fibers reinforced composite materials for aerospace applications are thefocuses, in-depth study of the thermodynamics of viscoelastic constitutive theory ofshape memory polymers, analysis and interpretation of the shape memory andrecovery characteristics, and then in-depth study Its fiber-reinforced compositematerial deformation mechanism and lay a foundation for the shape memorypolymer material in the active deformation structure.This research is as follows:(1) thermal shape memory polymer viscoelasticcharacterization. By dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) experiments, isothermaluniaxial tensile test, thermal stress relaxation at constant temperature, constanttemperature creep experiments to characterize the basic thermal shape memorypolymer-mechanical properties, determine the basic thermal viscoelastic materialconstants;(2) the establishment of thermodynamics of viscoelastic constitutivetheory of shape memory polymers. On the basis of experiments on the use of finitedeformation Prony series form deformation properties of the constitutive theory ofshape memory polymers, shape memory using ABAQUS software model built tosimulate the deformation characteristics of the material discussed in the shaperecovery process;(3) to establish the constitutive theory of shape memory polymercomposites. The use of meso-mechanical homogenization theory of fiber reinforcedshape memory polymer composite establish variable temperature viscoelasticmechanical model and get the equivalent mechanical properties and equivalentthermal expansion coefficient of the composite. Using ABAQUS, the shape memorypolymer composite analog;(4) Preparation and characterization of carbon fiberreinforced polymer composite shape memory material. By stretching the thermostat,thermostat three-point bending tests were characterized by means of dynamicmechanical analysis of dynamic and static thermal composite materials-mechanicalproperties and focus on the shape memory fiber-reinforced composite laminates buckling problem under large deflection deformation conditions and bendingdeformation characteristics of the process of recovery of materials.
