In recent years, water pollution incidents often occur somewhere,so the safetyof drinking water increasingly cause for concen.Beijiang river flows throughShaodong、Qingyuan、Foshan in Guangdong Province and is used as its watersource.The region has high population density and a number of factories, mineswith the development of induatrial and agricultural, which is prone to waterpollution accident.Therefore, this study aims to present risk recognition in BeijiangRiver, giving emergency treatment, and make recommendations to optimize thewater quality warning system.The Beijiang River is the second largest river of the Pearl River. Analysiswater quality indicators in Shakou water plant, Beijiang water plant and Xinanwater plant. The source water temperature changes with the seasons, pH valuesbetween7.2-8.2basically. Ammonia concentration is in1mg/L or less, and nitratenitrogen content is under2.5mg/L.The concentration of DO changes in6-11mg/L.The average concentration of permanganate index is less than2mg/L, andmost of the time are stable at1-2.5mg/L. Based on surface water qualitystandards,the Beijiang River belongs to Ⅱ water standards.In order to take preventive measures to control pollution in the cradle, thepaper conduct an investigation of risk sources around the Beijiang River. Accordingto pollution characteristics, pollution accidents will be divided into stationarysources of pollution sources, mobile source pollution, watershed pollution andnatural disasters. Major stationary sources of pollution is the production of wastemetal manufacturing, ceramics, textiles and other industrial emissions. Mobilesource pollution is mainly caused by traffic accidents and vessels carrying rawmaterials incidents. Residents living and agricultural production pollution belongsto watershed pollution. Due to the geographical location, natural disasters pollutionsmainly are storms and earthquakes. On this basis, combining the historic waterpollution incident, the North River watershed is facing a variety of oil pollution inthe form of pollution, heavy metal pollution, organic pollution.Construction of the water quality warning system of surface water water is thebest prevention of water pollution. Analysis of existing water quality warningsystem in Beijiang River, and from the monitoring indicators, monitoring points andmonitoring technology gives optimization recommendations respectively. Thesyetem should adopt three joint monitoring system: the sudden water pollutionmonitoring identification system, moving fast monitoring and laboratory testing.Analysis the result of conventional water treatment process and on the basis of existing technology give treatment technology at the face of unexpected emergencyphenol pollution. Low concentration of phenol (0.1mg/L) adds40mg/L ofpowdered activated carbon. When0.2mg/L of phenol content,water plant takesdosage40mg/L of powdered activated carbon and0.4mg/L potassiumpermanganate.In the case of high concentration of phenol (0.5mg/L), the dosage of50mg/L of powdered activated carbon and0.4mg/L potassium permanganate is thetreatment technology. The effluent phenol content and the smell strong can meetdrinking water standards.
