With the development of bolt supporting theory in our country’s coal, the technician do a lot of work, accumulate much information and get abundant experiences from supporting theory and practice. Recently pin timbering has been extensive used because the bolting of coal road has mellowed, however the problem of difficult tunnel reinforcement haven’t been solved properly, for example, heavy section. All in all, whether can we work out the problem is a critical issue for coal exploitation and safety in production.This paper aims at realizing safety and stability, high yield and high efficiency mining of large mining height coal face in ChangPing mine, with the comprehensive research approach and method of field investigation, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation calculation, analyses and researches comprehensively support technology of large mining height gateway.Based on the deep analysis on bolting support technology, support theory and the stability of gateway, designs reasonablly the section pillar size, support form and support parameters of typical coal face gateway to3#coal of four mining area. Establishes the numerical model by using the software of large finite difference, then simulates and analyzes respectively corresponding support design and the change of stress-strain and displacement of coal face gateway in different support conditions, finally determine the best support technology scheme to provide security for the sustainable development of mine.
