Cr coating gets the popularity for a long time due to high wear resistance,corrosionresistance and hardness. But Cr6+which is serious to the environment pollution in theprocess of electrodeposition is restricted by many countries. Therefore, a new coating is indire need which performs excellent all-round properties. In this background,this articleprepare the new alternative Cr coating assisted by ultrasound combined with BP neuralnetwork. The main work includes: firstly, preparing Co-Ni and Co-W alloy coating underdifferent conditions; secondly, analyzing the surface morphology, elemental compositionand phase structure by SEM and XRD; thirdly, characterizing the corrosion resistance byTafel, EIS and measuring the micro hardness of the sample; at last, setting up the BP neuralnetwork model between the parameters of electrodeposition and performance of alloycoating to predict the performance under different parameters or the parameters undercertain performance. The main conclusion includes:(1) Comparative study on the electrodepositionof Co-Ni allay coating under silent andultrasound. The results indicate that:①The Co content and grain size decreased with thedeposition current density and the ultrasound promotes that further reduce.②Comparingwith silent condition, smooth Surface morphology alloy coating with free-cracks andSurface defects is prepared under ultrasound condition.③ultrasound improves thehardness and corrosion resistance.(2) The influence on the electrodeposition Co-Ni allay coating with differentultrasound frequency. The results indicate that:①With the increase of the ultrasoundfrequency Ni content in the alloycoating and the grain size decreases.②According toHall-Petch, the micro hardness increases with the ultrasound frequency. But when thefrequency reaches to120kHz, The hardness of alloy coating fell instead.③there is nosimple positive or negative correlation between corrosion resistance and ultrasonic fieldfrequency. The best corrosion resistance alloy coating is prepared under frequency of 55kHz.(3) The influence on the electrodeposition Co-W allay coating with differentultrasound power.The results indicate that:①With the increase of power ultrasound Wcontent in the alloy coating also increases, and grain size is refined.②The hardest alloycoating is prepared under ultrasound power of130W.③When the ultrasound powerreaches130W, the allay coating performs the best corrosion resistance.(4) Prediction modelof BP neural network. Choose the different hardness and Nicontent under different deposition current density and ultrasound frequency as thereference sample. Train and determine network weights and threshold values with thesesamples. The model can be used as blueprint to predict the performance under differentparameters or the parameters under certain performance.
